Obituary James W. Nicholson, 86, of Lake City, passed away on September 12, 2022. A memorial service will be held at The Rock Baptist Church on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Steve Foster will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church prior to service beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment of ashes will be held at Lower Bell Creek Cemetery, 491 Hogsed Road, Hiawassee, GA 30546 on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie & Grace Nicholson; granddaughter, Amanda Nicholson; brother, Doug Nicholson. He will be missed by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Nicholson; sons, Dennis Nicholson (Jan), and Steven Nicholson (Lisa); sister-in-law, Pat Nicholson; grandchildren, Justin Couch (Allison), Samantha Brown (Matthew), and Emily Nicholson; great grandchildren, Carver Couch, Collin Couch, and Marlee Couch, numerous nieces and nephews.
