James Parsio Jr of Estell Manor passed away on September 3, 2022 after courageously fighting cancer. Known as Jim or Jimmy by his family and many friends, he never went anywhere without running into someone he knew- NJ, SC, FL– even Alaska! He graduated Pleasantville High School and spent many hours at Verona Lanes bowling on leagues and at the Ventnor Roller Rink. He enjoyed front seat roller coaster rides, attending Nascar races, playing golf and watching the Redskins. Jim was a hard worker who made many friends along the way. He worked for Frito Lay, Stroehmann’s Bakery and most recently with the awesome team at Artio Traffic Protection. Jim became a Freemason in September 2004 at Unity Lodge No. 76, Mays Landing. He was also a member of Hiram T. Dewey Lodge No.226, Egg Harbor City and Star Lodge No. 65 in Tuckahoe. He served his lodges in many positions of responsibility, ultimately leading them as Worshipful Master on more than one occasion. He was appointed a Grand Tyler for the Grand Lodge of New Jersey by MW Gerry Sharpe during his tenure as Grand Master. Jim loved his many brothers and the friendships they developed. A founding member of West Atlantic County Youth League, (WACYL), he built and operated the “wacky wagon” concession stand for the league. He coached many kids from Estell Manor and Weymouth Township. A breakfast regular at Johnnies Mays Landing restaurant for over 42 years, he enjoyed his morning chats with Marie, Darlene and crew. May his cup always hang on the wall there. Born July 28,1953 to Ruth and James Parsio Sr who predeceased him as did his wife Tracy. His favorite dogs Gino and GhostBuster will have him to play fetch with once again. He is survived by his daughter Cara Jeanne Parsio, son James Daniel Parsio ,(JD), and son Anthony Parsio ,(Tony), along with his daughter in law Kelsey. Jim was a proud and loving Grandpop to Anthony Jr, (AJ) and Regina, (GiGi). Jim had two loving sisters, Betty Jean Headley, (and brother-in-law/golf buddy Joe), and Shirley Ney. A wonderful Uncle, he liked to call himself “Old Unk”. He will be missed by niece Penny Brown & husband Gary, great niece and Uncle Jim’s biggest fan, Miss Lauren and great nephew Andrew, niece Ruth Cordery and great niece MacKenzie, (Mackie) and great nephew Charlie. The family of Jim would like to thank Dr Gabriel and the wonderful team at Inspira Vineland for taking care of Jim and especially Dr Benjamin Negin with Southern Oncology for walking beside him in this journey and providing excellent care. A masonic service for James will be held at 6pm on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Langley Loveland Funeral Home, 2315 Rt 50, Tuckahoe, followed by a religious service with time to share memories and stories; a visitation will be held prior to service from 4-6pm.
