Obituary MAYODAN – James “Mark” Lasley, 62, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 17, 2022, at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mark was born October 11, 1960 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Charles Theodore “C. T.” Lasley, Jr. and Dafthne James Lasley. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was a retiree of the Facilities Operation’s department of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is survived by two brothers, John “Paul” Lasley (Jeanie) and Luke Lasley, both of Madison; sisters, Hope Lasley Haislip (George) of Jacksonville, NC and Helen Lasley Greene of Madison along with several nieces and nephews, to include a special niece and nephew, Chad and Jennifer Roberts of Madison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gay Miller Lasley. Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
