James Byars age 94 of Maylene died on December 26, 2022. James enjoyed singing gospel music, and woodworking where he made special gifts to share with his friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Sarah Byars; siblings, Malva Byars Hood, Frances Byars Peak, Joel Byars; daughter; Donna Byars Vinson; great granddaughter, Bennett Elizabeth Byars. James is survived by son, James Michael Byars (Janie); grandchildren , Brent Byars (Christy), Brandon Byars (Sara); great grandchildren, Brooks, Hudson, Maryn, Grant, Nathan. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022, 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, Adamsville, AL. Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, 11:00 am at the Crestview Memorial Gardens. Burial will take place in the Crestview Memorial Gardens.
