James M. Fiore, 89 of Pottstown and formerly of Coatesville, PA passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022. James was born on December 29, 1932, in Caln, PA to the late John and Margaret (Sullivan) Fiore. James was a highly decorated Korean War Veteran in the United States Army receiving the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Korean Service Medal. On October 15, 1960, Jim and Marge married. They built their home together in Coatesville, where they were surrounded by family. James retired from Coatesville VA after 33 years; James worked in ground maintenance for Coatesville School District and Downingtown School District. James loved spending time with family and friends; making his famously loved pizzas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and trips Jersey shore. James was predeceased in death by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Margaret Elizabeth Fiore on March 23, 2020; great granddaughter, Makenna Massi; his brother, John Fiore; and his sister, Micky Yohn. He leaves behind a daughter: Deborah, and her husband, Robert Grillo; a son: Robert, and his wife, Donna Mattson; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Fiore and Daniel Fiore; and two sisters, Elizabeth Lightcap and Dorothy Carbo. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, December 6th 2022, 11 a.m. at Warker – Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
