Obituary James Emerson Dowler, 81, of Belpre died December 6, 2022 at his residence. Jim was born July 28, 1941, in Parkersburg, WV and was the son of the late Lawrence Etsel and Beatrice Berneda Deem Dowler. Jim had served in the Marine Corp Reserve and was a member of American Legion Post 15 in Parkersburg. He had retired from the Local 565 Plumbers and Steamfitters in Parkersburg working from 1978-1999. Jim loved football and crossword puzzles .He loved God and his country. He was a huge fan of Jeopardy and his favorite hangout was the 19th Street Country Club. Jim will be sadly missed by his daughter Sunni T. Dils (David Wilson) of Parkersburg; granddaughter Zoie Dils of Parkersburg; sisters Charlene Digman of Perry, OH and Martha Stewart of Belpre; a brother Larry Dowler (Judie) of Madison, OH and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn Cunningham and brothers-in-law Rod Stewart and Ronnie Digman. There will be no services.
