Dickerson, son of the late Andrew and Noami Dickerson was born on June 1, 1944 in Fremont, NC. He departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2022 at home. James attended the public school system in Wayne County NC. He graduated from high school in 1962 as class Valedictorian. He went on to further his education at E.C.S.U. In 1966, he graduated with a B.S., in Mathematics. In that same year, he married his wife, Doris, and from this union Kelvin their son was born. After moving to Virginia, James was employed in many different professions. In 1985, he joined World Victory Church and was active until his health illness would no longer permit him to attend. James is survived by his wife Doris Dickerson, son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters. Viewing will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 @ Nickelson-Cummings F.H. from 9:30 am – 10:00 am followed by graveside service at 11:00 am at Hampton Memorial Gardens 155 Butler Farm Road Hampton, VA 23666.
