James Clyde Ramsey, age 73, of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital. He was born in Amonate, Virginia and was the son of the late John and Sylvia Maxfield Ramsey. J He was a life long resident of the Cedar Bluff area and was a retired coal miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Sue Ramsey; sisters, Pauline Ramey and her husband, Bud; Helen Mullins and her husband, Luther; and Betty Sparks and her husband, Bill; and one brother, John Thomas Ramsey, Jr. Survivors are: Daughters: Tera Gilbert of Gaffney, SC April Wade and husband, Chad of Cedar Bluff, Virginia Son: James C. Ramsey, Jr. and wife, Chasity of Swords Creek, Virginia Sisters: Joyce Beavers and husband, Robert of Lodi, Ohio Karen Elswick and husband, Donnie of Lebanon, Virginia Sister In Law: Patsy Ramsey of Abingdon, Virginia Six Grandchildren: Madalyn Wade, Samuel Ramsey, Madison Ramsey, William Gilbert, Sierra Gilbert, and Terran Gilbert. Funeral services for James Clyde Ramsey will be conducted Friday, November 4, 2022 at 2pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Jordan Griffith and Rev. Allen Gross officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: William Gilbert, Samuel Ramsey, Tommy Dye, Cody Sisk, and Doug Dye.
