James’ Obituary James C. “Jim” Kenote, age 56, of Shawano, walked on, after a brief battle with cancer, on Monday, November 14, 2022, in Appleton. James was born in Harvey, Illinois, on October 3, 1966, to the late Ronald and Joyce “Bunny” (Heath) Kenote. Jim was a graduate of Menominee Indian High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. On May 20, 2001, he was united in marriage to Karen Konrardy. Jim worked in the restaurant business for many years as both a manager and a cook. When he retired in 2021, Jim returned to the Wisconsin area and enjoyed spending time in the woods or cooking. He was a fan of movies and superheroes, and he had an extensive collection of comic books and superhero collectibles, especially Batman. Jim also had a passion for music and Pink Floyd was his favorite group. He was a loving husband, father and brother and took great care of his family. James is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Nicole Kenote; his brothers, Waylon (Savannah) Kenote and Michael Kenote; aunts and uncles, Janice (Philip) Reed, Margaret (Cornelius) Wendell, William (Carol) Heath, Steve Heath and Linda Heath; and cousins, Maria Conn and Tina Gouty Yellow. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on December 17, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano, WI. Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Read More
