J W Walton, age 90, of Clinton, husband of Lula Mae Walton, passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home. He was born February 16, 1932 in Baxley, Georgia and was a son of the late Lee Walton and Irene Collins Walton. He retired from the Clinton Mills after 40 plus years of service. In his free time he enjoyed carpentry and was very skilled. Mr. Walton was a Member of the Elizabeth Street Church of God where he served as Choir Director. In addition to his wife of 71 years, Mr. Walton is survived by his children, David Walton (Susan) and Donna Walton Green (Danny); his grandchildren, Adam Walton (LeeAnn), Erin Walton Carney (Mitchell), Jordan Green (Amanda), and Austin Green (Jessica); his great-grandchildren, Harper, James, Maddy, Bailey, and William Green and one Walton on the way; his brothers, Robert and Sammy Walton; and his sisters, Laverne McMickle and Frankie Broxton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walton was preceded in death by four siblings. A Private Graveside Service was held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
