She was born on February 1, 1935 in Dixonville to the late John and Mary (Most) Duchon. She was a 1953 graduate of Starford High School, and was a member of St. Mary Mother of God Parish in Yatesboro. She enjoyed making ceramics, crocheting, cooking, and baking. Irene is survived by her children, Daughter Cynthia (Daniel) Meyer, of Home; Son Paul (Paula) Zolocsik, Jr., of Indiana; Son Douglas (Julie) Zolocsik of Indiana; 7 Grandchildren, Charynn (Chris) Olsheski, , Charelle (AJ) Rivosecchi, Priscilla (Matthew) Boring, Steven, Thomas (Brooke Evans) , Tyler (Rebecca) and Melanie (Nick Roberts) Zolocsik; 8 Great Grandchildren; Brother Francis Duchon of Creekside; and one Sister Dorothy (Merlyn) Orr of Home. Besides her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her Husband Paul A. Zolocsik; one Granddaughter Danielle Meyer, 6 sisters and 6 brothers.
