Pleasant, passed from this earth to her Heavenly Home on June 15, 2022 in Denton, TX. She was born on April 12, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, TX to Will McKelvey and Irene (Cameron) McKelvey. Imogene was a homemaker and worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm. She enjoyed taking care of her flowers and plants. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant where she was very active in assisting with the food pantry, church dinners, and other church events. She loved going to church! Imogene was a friend to all and tried her best to keep up with everyone, expressing concern for others even when her own health was failing. In addition to her parents, Imogene is preceded in death by her husband, William Hollie Summerlin. Left to cherish Imogene’s memory is her loving family: son and daughter-in-law, David & Brenda Summerlin of Oak Point, TX; grandson, Eric Summerlin & Samantha Villarreal of Arlington, TX; sister, G’Nell Winslow of Columbia, SC and other extended family. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Imogene’s memory be made to St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
