Ila Darleen Miller, age 71, joined her family in heaven on May 8th, 2022, at MediLodge of St. Clair. Dar loved spending time with her family and making memories. She was creative at planning fun holiday events like the annual egg hunt and holiday white elephant activities. She was a lifelong resident of Marine City and a proud Mariner who graduated in 1969. She loved attending Marine City football games with her sister and was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan. A gifted sewer, Dar could make or fix anything from dog toys to dresses. She was the most giving, loving person whose family was her world. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her sister, Charlene Kenny; brother, Wayne (Cathy) Miller; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Miller, father, Frank Miller Jr., brother, Frank Miller, and sister, Diane Detloff. A gathering and viewing will be held on May 11, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with a visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
