Hulon Edwin Andrews, 79, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Born July 12, 1943 in Cherokee County to the late Clay and Lucille Cox Andrews, Hulon graduated from the Forsyth County High School where he played football and baseball. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served his country aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Hulon was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan and enjoyed bowling and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Mary Andrews; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jeanine Whitmire, Eric and Kris Andrews; grandchildren, Madison and Trevor Chester, Walker and Emily Whitmire, Jessica Andrews and Casey Andrews; great grandchildren, Easton, Everlee, Charli and Hunter; sister and brother-in-law, Deloris and David Schmidt; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Sue Andrews; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 4, at 4:00 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Nix and Rev. Jimmy Andrews. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
