ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA – Herman Lowell Bellamy, 73, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was born in Lebanon, Virginia; son of the late Nelson and Louise Kimberly Bellamy. He was preceded in death by two sons, Jamie Bellamy and Walter Hurd, Jr.; two brothers, Pete Bellamy and Jim Bellamy; and two sisters, Margie Caldwell and Marletta Taylor. Lowell retired from the United States Forest Service. He loved to fish, go camping, and loved being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen Bellamy; one daughter, Jackie Day and husband, Dennis of Grundy, Virginia; two sons, Herman Bellamy, Jr. of Cleveland, Virginia and Adam Hurd and wife, Regina of St. Paul, Virginia; two sisters, Jean Wright of Castlewood, Virginia and Hazel Marshall and husband, Calvin of St. Paul, Virginia; six grandchildren, Ariel Hurd, Ashley Hurd, Megan Trent, Jacob Hurd, Isaac Fleming, and Dylan Fleming; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services and Interment for Herman Lowell Bellamy will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum – Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Travis Price officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Virginia National Guard. Pallbearers will be Adam Hurd, Ronald Wright, Robert Wright, Martin Bellamy, Tommy Marshall, and Cody Mullins. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jacob Hurd. Due to COVID-19, the family requests those attending the Visitation and Services to wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the Chapel of Love Mausoleum – Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.
