Harry L. Smith, 77, of Ewing, VA, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was born July 9, 1945 to the late Skelt and Minnie Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace Smith and sister, Ruth Doyle. Harry was an accomplished musician. He had a passion for classic cars and believed in the Pentecostal faith. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Velma Smith; daughter, Telena (Mike) Robinson; son, Robert Smith; four granddaughters, Makayla (Michael) Malott, Tyler Smith, Carson Smith and Reese Smith; one great-granddaughter, Oakley Malott; his siblings, Lonnie Smith, Pearl Ward and Verna Gilbert; special friends, Clara Watkins, Robert Johnson and Vickie Warf; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, at Robinette Funeral Home in Rose Hill. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Jody Moore officiating.
