Jenkins Jr. “Junior” was born on April 22, 1956, in Kansas City, Kansas to parents Gurtha Jenkins Sr. and Cora Dupree-Jenkins. He departed this life on November 16, 2022. After graduating from Sumner High School “class of 1974” he went on to work many careers. Upon death he was a loyally employed at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City Kansas. He was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church for 50 years. He worked in the church on the Usher board, Men’s Choir and was part of the Community Services delivery program that delivered holiday meals each year. He professed his life to Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor Jarvis L. Collier Junior was preceded in death by both parent and two brothers. Junior leaves to cherish his precious memories, five sisters: Doris Clemmons- Hicks, Kansas City Kansas Evonne Jenkins (Kansas City, Kansas, Francis Fulton (Leonard) Albuquerque, NM Shelia Jenkins, Raytown, MO Jacque Cole (Chris), Grandview MO Junior also leaves behind to cherish his memories a host of nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives and friends To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Gurtha , please visit our floral store.
