Gregory William Koci, 59, of Katy, Texas, passed away on Septemer 9, 2022, at Houston Methodist Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Orange, Texas, on February 6, 1963, he was the son of Eugene Koci and Lois (Humble) Wardell. Greg worked for Toshiba as a quality control manager. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in caring for his family. Greg adored his wife and children and he made sure they always had everything that they needed and wanted. He enjoyed being outdoors and tending to his yard. Greg will always be remembered by his loved ones for being an incredible man with a heart of gold, and was a light to all of those around him. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lois and Thomas Wardell, and his step-mother, Celia Koci. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kay Koci; his children, Allicyn Koci, Kristen Koci, and Scott Koci; his grandchildren, Gavin Perry-Koci and Devin Perry-Koci; and his sister, Donna Koci.
