View Tribute Book Gloria Jean Hyler Clark, 64, of Danville, VA passed away while a patient of Sovah Health, Danville, VA on Friday, October 21, 2022 after a brief illness. She was born January 28, 1958 in Danville, VA to the late Betty Terrell Hyler and the late Terrance B. Hyler. She was married to George Edward (Ed) Clark, who survives, of the residence. Prior to her retirement, Gloria worked for over 33 years as a graphic arts designer for the Register & Bee newspaper. From the age of five, she was a faithful member of the congregation of the Salvation Army of Danville. In addition to her husband, Gloria is survived by a son, Adam Thomas Clark of Danville, a sister, Penny Hill (Todd) and nephew Patrick Hill, all of Brunswick County, VA. She was predeceased by her sister, Brenda Gail Craig, in addition to her parents. Two months prior to her death, Gloria was also predeceased by her loving and faithful companion, her dog Vladimir. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Salvation Army, 123 Henry St. Danville, VA, officiated by LT. Antonio Hodges, LT Chawnte Hodges, and David Terrell. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army location, and at other times at the home of Betty Loeb, 4320 Horseshoe Rd., Danville.
