Gerald’s Obituary We mournfully announce the passing of Gerald Charles Hoffman, 71, of Denison Texas. Gerald passed away on October 27th, 2022, in Winnsboro Texas. He passed in the presence of his two beloved dogs, George and Lady, at the home he was fixing for his boss. Gerald was a decorated veteran who served in the Vietnam war from 1970 -1972. Gerald took his first breath on December 16, 1950, in New York city, New York to his parents Marie Occhiuto and Gerald Hoffman Sr. Gerald was a force to be reckoned with from the get go, he was inducted into the army on April 22nd, 1970, in Bayshore New York. Gerald fought bravely for his country as an Airborne Eagle and was Honorably discharged on June 7th, 1972. He was awarded with a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device, a Vietnam Service Medal, two Overseas Service Bars, and a Purple Heart. Gerald was passionate about his career and could often be found building, painting or refurbishing something for someone. When he wasn’t crafting you could find him either enjoying crime shows or cooking. He crafted his business as a handy man and everyone who knew Gerald knew he was a hard worker who loved his job and loved helping people. Gerald was predeceased by Marie Occhiuto (mother) and Gerald Hoffman (father). He is survived by Jerald Hoffman (son).
