Mr. Gene Gilbert Jolivette “Sonny” Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Gene Gilbert “Sonny” Jolivette, 87, who entered eternal rest, Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Opelousas. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park. Mr. Jolivette is survived by his son, Alfred Joseph Manuel, Sr. (Beverly) of Kannapolis, NC; one grandson, Alfred Joseph Manuel, Jr. (Alex) of Concord, NC; one great granddaughter, Summer Rae Manuel of Concord, NC; two sisters, Gaylia Tevis of Opelousas, LA and Rose Olivier of Austin, TX; one brother, Glenn Michael Jolivette of Austin, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Jolivette was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Jolivette & Therezile Auzenne Jolivette and a brother, John “Pope John” Jolivette. Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Williams Funeral Home.
