View Tribute Book MARY FLOSSIE YATES BALDWIN, 95, of Leemaster, departed this world and entered Heaven on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. Born in Buchanan County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Joseph and Rosa Hagy Yates. She was an articulate bookkeeper working for several car dealerships in Grundy and for Westwood Pharmacy. She was very talented and could quilt, reupholster, knit, crochet, paint, sew, tat, and raise a garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bart, Clyde, Glen, and Tyler Yates; sisters, Naomi Baldwin, Alta Lindsay, Faye Raysor, Estelle Orrick, Leah Keene, Gaynelle Medcalf, Hermie Yates; and husband, M.B. Baldwin. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Genoa McMahan Strickland; 2-Grandsons: Todd Strickland of Colorado and Joel Strickland of Texas; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. She loved Big Prater Baptist Church where she was a member and loved working at Feeding My Sheep food pantry and was the oldest volunteer. Due to the covid epidemic and failing health, she stopped volunteering two years ago. Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday morning at Noon. Funeral Services for FLOSSIE YATES BALDWIN will be conducted Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Fuller officiating with burial to follow in the Yates Family Cemetery on Leemaster. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
