Obituary Gloucester City – Age 100. On October 1, 2022. In the loving and devoted care of her children in her residence. (nee Rodgers) Loving wife of 35 years to the late Francis J. Underwood. Devoted mother of Joseph Underwood, William (Ella) Underwood, Rose Underwood, Catherine Underwood, Frances Underwood and Claire Corliss. Predeceased by her children: Susan Underwood, Nancy Underwood and Paul Underwood. Cherished grandmother of Laura “J” John, Chelsea Amy. Beloved sister of Theresa A. (late Charles) Boyle. Predeceased by her siblings: Thomas (Mary) Rodgers, Margaret (William) Alton, Rose (William) Hamacher, Regina “Jean” (Thomas) McParland, David (Margaret) Rodgers, Jr., Veronica “Ronnie” (Joe) Neunheuser, Gerard “Jerry” (Dorothy) Rodgers, James (Teresa) Rodgers and Ann (Christopher) Underwood. Devoted great-grandmother of Ian and Colin John. Survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Florence was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a longtime resident of Gloucester City. She was a devoted and longtime parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11 am in the church. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. Family requests memorial donations in Florence’s memory to Saint Mary’s R.C.
