Obituary Fern Pearl Child Anderson Kearl ROY – Fern Kearl almost made it to her 96th birthday. She died May 28, 2022, peacefully, in the home she loved so much, surrounded by family. She was born June 15, 1926, in Roy, Utah, the daughter of Abiah Wadsworth Child and Emma Clydie Olmstead. She married Eugene Ely Anderson, April 16, 1947. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Gene passed away May 20, 1952, leaving Fern widowed with two daughters ages 1 and 3. Fern never planned on marrying again, but after a very spiritual courtship she married Udell Fielding Kearl on June 18, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nothing pleased her more than just sitting back and watching her posterity gab, tease and goof off generally. She had a contagious laugh, a huge smile and loved unconditionally! Early in life she traveled from ward to ward singing with The Pink Ladies. Later in life, at age 86, she became a painter.
