Obituary Everett Howard Reneaud Age 78 of Elsie passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday October 1st, at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Charlene Reha officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends Saturday October 1st, 11am-1pm. Everett was born May 18, 1944 in Ferndale, the son of Everett and Valora E. (Roberts) Reneaud. He graduated from Clawson High School, class of 1962 and earned a bachelor of social science from Michigan State University in 1967. Everett was in the Army, where he proudly served his country in Vietnam. Everett married Lennis Lee Sloat at Carland United Methodist Church on June 16, 1968. Everett and Lennis raised their family in Carland on the family farm. Everett retired from Michigan State University after 36 years of service and was a Spartan for life. Everett was a member of Carland United Methodist Church, VFW and Gideons. He spent many years working with youth as a Boy Scout Master, Explorer, Girl Scout and a 4-H leader. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, and traveling cross country with Lennis in their RV. Everett also enjoyed cooking, fishing, woodworking and above all spending time with his family and his dogs. Everett is survived by his wife Lennis; children Everett A. (Julie) Reneaud of Freeland, Janae (Scott) Field of El Paso,TX Nicole (Torrin) Jones of San Diego,CA and Burke (Stephanie) Reneaud of Laingsburg; grandchildren Chase and Hannah Reneaud, Eli and Beckett Reneaud, Abigail Field, and Victoria Jones; brothers William Reneaud and Jack Reneaud; other loving family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers George, Robert, and Richard and his special dog Mocha Jean. Memorial contributions are suggested to Carland United Methodist Church, Boy Scouts of Ovid, and Giddeons. Read more
