Ethel L. Blevins, 84, of Hershey, passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2022 in her home. She was born April 14, 1938 in Campbelltown, a daughter of the late Ruben and Lillian (Simmons) Ruddle. She was one of 15 children. She was preceded in death by four brothers Leo, Wayne, Olin Bruce, Norman; three sisters Ruby Foltz, Nellie Kaley, and Lillian Kemp. Ethel is survived by two daughters, Brenda Peters and Deborah (Peter) Orth both of Hershey; as well as five grandchildren Alison (David) Tlaxcala, Gordon (Ashlyn) Peters, T.J. (Lindsay) Ortenzi, Tyler (Amy) Orth, Brianna (Nate) McHugh; seven great grandchildren Barrett and Bowen Tlaxcala, Weston and Emma Peters, Braith, Lewis and Annabel Ortenzi. Four brothers, Harold, Larry, Robert (Wendy), Rodney (Carolyn). Three sisters Elaine Ruddle, Sarah Buatti, Linda (Ralph) Zerbe, and her best friend Kathryn (Mann) Swanger, these two rarely missed a Friday going out for breakfast and spending the day together. Ethel was a 1956 graduate of Hershey High School and was a retiree of the H.B. Reese Candy Company. Ethel, also affectionately called Nan, didn’t need much to be happy. She had the best laugh and a big personality to go along with it. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She showed her love by doing for you, not so much in words. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will miss her beyond words. Private interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery.
