View Tribute Book Emma Jean Griffith, 78, of Westville, N.Y., passed away on November 19, 2022 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, N.Y. Born in Malone, N.Y. on October 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Agnes Roussell Avery. She married Blaine Griffith on October 26, 1963 in Constable, N.Y. He survives. Emma Jean worked at the Mansion Nursing Home, Franklin County Courthouse and was a cutter at Tru-Stitch in Malone. Surviving Emma Jean are two sons; Tim (Stephanie) Griffith and Barry (Marylou) Griffith, a daughter; Laurie (Robert) Gill, three sisters; Terrylee White, Bonnie Adams and Sharon Dustin, as well as nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Ronnie Avery and a sister Shirley King. Emma Jean loved bingo, playing the lottery, camping, gardening, mowing her lawn and playing Cards. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington, N.Y.
