Obituary of Ellen Geraldine South Mrs. Ellen Geraldine South, age 83 of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. Mrs. South was born on October 2, 1938 in Abington, Virginia to the late Howard Bott and Winnie Bott Warren. Ellen was a member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Portland, TN. She enjoyed spending time with her fur babies and working in the yard. Mrs. South is survived by children, Stanley (Charlotte) South, Jackie (Ginger) South, Judy Foreman, William Michael (Julie) South, Sammy (Tina) South, Bobby (Ivy) South; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two fur babies, Misty and Scooter. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Donald South; son, Carl Cecil South; grandson, Lonnie Lee Foreman. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 19th at 1pm from the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Portland with Bro. Tony Willis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Portland Memorial Gardens with David South, Rusty South, Isaac South, Donny Joe South, Dustin South, and Justin Hesson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer is Ollie Hoke. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 18th from 6:00-8:00 PM and Monday, September 19th from 10:00 AM until time of service.
