Obituary Elizabeth “Liz” Kaye Haire was born 06/30/1969 Irving, Texas to Barbara Faye Shoemake and Raymond Barker Sellers, Jr. The family lived in Odem, Texas from 1973 to 1986. They moved to Floresville in 1986. Liz graduated from Floresville High School in 1988. On July 29, 1989, Liz married Charlie Haire. Liz happily became mom to Charlie’s two children, Willie and Jennifer. Liz and Charlie eventually had one mutual child, Kimberly. Later in life, Liz and Charlie’s life, they were lucky enough to have Charlie’s daughter, Anessa, come into their lives, which Liz was thrilled to have another daughter. Liz and Charlie spent 33 wonderful years together and never stopped loving each other. She was an adventurous spirit and had little to no fear. She loved camping, hiking, riding the river and climbing hills. Her and Charlie even started playing golf. Charlie and Liz would take several trips a year to have some sort of adventure. If she was outdoors, she was in her happy place. In her younger years, she spent countless hours riding her bike and every weekend was spent at the skating rink with her best friend Tena. Even though, some of those good times caused them to be grounded and their parents telling them they could no longer be friends. Liz never met a stranger. Everyone she met was a friend that she hasn’t met yet. When she was excited about something she liked she had a glow not only in her eyes, but it would also show all over. She was one of the most giving souls that walked this Earth. You hear tell of those people that would give you the shirt off their own back, Liz would go beyond that. Whether it was a shirt, her last dollar, or the last bit of gas in her car. She would always, “that’s okay, I will get more later.” She was always there for all her family and friends and friends that became family. She was there for celebrations, when someone needed a shoulder to cry on, just to talk, a ride, food, weddings, and funerals. She was full of love and never stopped showing it. All she wanted was to make everyone around her smile and be happy. She loved so many things and people and so many loved her. However, there was a thing she really disliked. SHOES! She could not stand wearing shoes. She always wore flip flops and no matter whose house she went to, the flip flops went flying off the instant she walked in the door. Her 53 years on this earth was spent making memories with all the people she loved. She became family to many other families that were not her blood. She is survived by her husband Charles Haire, children, William Haire, Jennifer Harper, Kimberly Haire, and Anessa Clark Grandchildren, Elijah, Glory, and Emma. Sister, Alisha O’Neal (Jaime), nephew, Nathan O’Neal. Brother, Raymond Sellers. There are a few Aunts and uncles left and an immense amount of cousins. Best friends Gene Heiser, Barbara Gomez and Tena Crocker, along with each of their families that loved her as much as if she was blood. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Barbara Sellers, father, Raymond Sellers, and close friend, Tina Herrin. In honor of Liz, the family is asking visitors to wear purple, her favorite color. A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Friday, December 2, 20222 at 5pm to 8pm with services to begin at 6:30pm.
