Arnoldi Dansby, 85, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2022 with her loving husband John, and their faithful keeshond Pepper, at her bedside. Elaine was born April 30, 1937 in Zachow, Wisconsin, the daughter of Milton O. and Cecilia R. Arnoldi. Elaine was preceded in death by her brother Stephen J. Arnoldi and her parents. Elaine graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Green Bay, Wisconsin and later married Richard J. Noyes with whom she had five children. The family moved to Florida in 1971. Elaine met John Dansby at a church function in 1975. Elaine and John were married in 1980 and eventually moved to Virginia. For the past many years, John and Elaine have enjoyed operating the Dansby Strawberry Farm outside of Rocky Mount, Va. John and Elaine are parishioners of St. Francis Parish in Rocky Mount. Elaine is survived by her husband, John Dansby, siblings, Dr. Norbert Arnoldi (Marlys), Sr. Yvonne Arnoldi, Jeanne A. Katch, Gary Arnoldi (Dee) and Kenneth Arnoldi (Denise); and her five children, Cathy M. Noyes, Thomas J. Noyes (Victoria), Deborah S. Renfroe (William), David W. Noyes (Jenn) and Linda N. Griffin (Robert); and John’s two children, Kathleen R. Benz (Kory) and Michael D. Dansby. She also has 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday October 31st at 10 AM at St. Francis Church in Rocky Mount, immediately followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service. Following cremation there will be a private inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elaine’s name to a charity of your choice. The family would like to express their gratitude to Elaine’s caretakers at Good Samaritan Hospice.
