Ed was an Electrician and Foreman for the IBEW Local #102 for many years before retiring in 1997. Ed, otherwise known as “The Coach”, was an avid baseball fan who loved to coach. He was truly honored to receive the Old Timers Lou Costello Award 2002 for his dedication to helping the children of Greater Paterson, NJ through athletics. From childhood on, Ed entertained many singing in his family’s acapella group for schools and community events as well as singing with the Dapper Dan’s of Harmony. Later in life, he was often found singing karaoke. He produced 11 CDs of his top favorite hits. Ed also enjoyed skiing and traveling the country. Ed was a proud Irish American who dearly loved his family. He hosted numerous family reunions, authored pride filled editions of the Family Bulletin, and created unforgettable Christmas memories year after year. Ed is survived by his brothers Leslie V. Byrnes of Clifton and Lawrence Byrnes, and his wife, Irma (Pagnillo) of Toms River; by his sisters, Veronica A. Corby of Totowa and Kathleen C.
