Wojcik, Sr. Age 82, of St. John, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Edward is survived by his children: Lisa (late Kevin) McGing, Laura (James) Pardonek, and Edward Wojcik, Jr. (Nancy); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Nadolski; brother, Walter (Barbara) Wojcik; sister-in-law, Sue Wojcik; many nieces and nephews; and loving companion of 20 years, Jackie Wylie. Preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 34 years, Patricia Wojcik; precious granddaughter, Melissa McGing; and brother John Wojcik. Edward retired from Inland Steel after 30 years of services. He was an avid bowler and pool player and was known to be a “jack of all trades”. Above all else, Edward lived for his family. He loved and adored them dearly and he will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, on Saturday, October 29, DIRECTLY AT St. John the Evangelist Church Day Chapel, corner of US 41 & 93rd, St. John, IN. Edward will lie in state from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
