Ebony T Mays-Dorris, 46 of Mays Landing New Jersey unexpectedly departed this life on July 16,2022 in the comfort of her home. Ebony smile and loving heart will forever leave a lasting impression on everyone she met. Ebony was born July 01,1976 in Atlantic City NJ to Benjamin (Lonnie) Mays and Gale Key of Atlantic City New Jersey. Ebony Graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1994. She studied various studies at Atlantic Cape Community College in New Jersey where she graduated with an associate degree in Paralegal Studies. She worked at Showboat casino as a housekeeping clerk then transferred to hotel reservations. She worked at TD Bank as a bank teller. She worked at Atlantic Community Charter School as where she started as a recruiter and later promoted to a Child Accountant. Ebony loved to watch movies, cook, play cards and debate. Most importantly she loved helping those in need with her knowledge and infinite resources. She was known to all family members as the resume writer and poet. …As a black educated woman Ebony felt it was her duty to give back to her community showing them a different perspective on life hence her employment with Atlantic Community Charter School where she rose through the ranks prior to her departure. Ebony was smart when came to the streets and books Her loving and nurturing spirit was always on display when it came to her children Alvin (AJ) and Lonnai. She was the backbone and caregiver of her family sacrificing to ensure they never went without. She instilled in them both Godly values and beliefs she always held true. She was predeceased by her father Benjamin (Lonnie) Mays and her mother Gale Key both of Atlantic City NJ Ebony leaves to cherish her memory her children Alvin (AJ) and Lonnai Dorris of Mays Landing NJ, godson Van Grasty Atlantic City, NJ, companion Donald (Donnie) Peterson of Mays Landing NJ, godmother Deborah Brooks of Atlantic City, NJ, brothers/ and sister Pastor Benjamin Mays Jr. (Vontresa) Atlanta, GA, Donald Key Absecon NJ, Bridget Key Jacksonville, FL, Andrew Key Atlantic City, NJ, Fahim Stewart Raleigh, NC, and host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
