Doris’ Obituary It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our mother. Doris Marie “Grangy” Dotson. She passed away peacefully Friday November 11, 2022. She was born in Atmore Alabama and enjoyed a life of travel with her loving husband of 44 years. Charlie. during his Air Force career. where they finally planted roots in Panama City since 1969. Marie retired in the early 1990’s after working over 20 years in the civil service accounting office. She took pride in her work and her accomplishments. She was known to be a strong defender for the underdog. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her poker, crossword puzzles and bingo. Her life was filled with the joy of family, friends and laughter. Above all she had a strong faith in God. In her later years when she could not drive to church, one could find her watching sermons from almost every service broadcast on TV. We will miss her tremendously and we look forward to the day we are all reunited. Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles Edward Dotson. She is survived by her three children, Tina M. Menna ( Michael), Renata D. Harris (Frank), Charles Dotson, ten grandchildren: Jeremy (Hanna), Frankie (Deborah), Brad (Gabbie), Michael, Nicholas, Christina, Joey, Montana (Rick), Hayden, and Haley, twelve great grandchildren: CJ, Kylie, Kyndall, Kynslee, Ava, Jack, Malaya, Rick Ill, Leilani, Houston, Legacie, and Aice, her sister Patricia Smith and her brother Marvin Harrell, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
