Donna M. (Bagnell) Steinmetz August 7, 1951 – December 10, 2022 Donna M. Steinmetz, a lifelong resident of Highland Falls, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with MS. She was 71 years old. Donna entered into eternal rest at St. Luke’s hospital, Newburgh, NY. She was the daughter of John and Florence Bagnell. She was born August 7, 1951, in South Weymouth, MA. Donna retired from the United State Military Academy at West Point, NY after 30 years of Civil Service. She is survived by her husband John of 45 years. Her step-son Lee Steinmetz, his wife Patty and their children, Cortney, Amanda and Lee. Her daughter, Jennifer Hurst, her husband David and their children Zachary and Madison. Two sisters, Patricia Petersen of Hayden, ID, Sheila Klusacek of Brownville NY and a brother, John M. Bagnell, Jr. of Ten Mile, TN along with an aunt, several cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or services. Interment will be at Eagle Valley Cemetery, Highland Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, please donate a gift in Donna’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York City – Southern New York Chapter, PO Box 4594, NY, NY 10163.
