View Tribute Book DONALD LEE LESTER JR., 61 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of Lilly Ruth (Duty) Lester of Hurley, VA, and the late Emzie Lester Jr. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Church of Christ faith. He was a loving son and brother, was a disabled coal miner and enjoyed working outdoors. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by Brothers: Jeffery Allen Lester and Timothy Dean Lester; and nieces and nephews. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Lilly Ruth (Duty) Lester of Hurley, VA; Sisters: Rebecca (Shawn) Justus of Hurley, VA, Carol (Danny) Looney of Big Rock, VA; several children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for DONALD LEE LESTER JR. will be conducted Friday, October 14, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at the Mountain Rest Mausoleum at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, with burial to follow. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff of Pikeville Medical Center and Hospice Care. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to Pikeville Medical Center Cancer Center.
