Deborah J. Parrill, 68 of Granite City, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at her home. Deborah was born on Thursday, April 29, 1954 in Granite City; the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Goldie E. (Perkins) Britt. Deborah was bookkeeper for Hess & Culbertson Jewelers in St. Louis and in her free time shopping and decorating her home. Most of all Deborah loved spending time with her family and will be remembered for all the special times they shared together. Deborah is survived by and will be missed by her husband; James “Scotty” Parrill, whom she married on September 14, 1979; her son, James S. Parrill Jr. of Granite City, IL; niece, Jennifer “Jenny” Britt of Madison, IL; nephew, Brandon Britt of Granite City, IL; brother, Ron and Jennifer Britt of St. Charles, MO and many other close family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Britt. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. In celebration of Deborah’s life, funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ron McGrew officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
