Obituary of David Lee Potter David Lee Potter, 57, of Knoxville, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at UPMC Wellsboro after being suddenly stricken at home. Born in Wellsboro on November 17, 1964, he was the son of Benjamin and Phyllis Taft Potter. Raised in the Cowanesque Valley, David was a 1982 graduate of Cowanesque Valley High School in Westfield. As a young man, David worked with his uncle operating a sawmill. He later ran a horse farm in Ulysses with his life partner at the time, Linda Wells. Linda predeceased him. For 5 years David has shared his life with Vicki Willis. Together, they have expanded their businesses in Knoxville. He and Vicki owned and operated Penn York Accounting Service, Penn York Payroll and Staffing and Penn York Notary and Tags where he acted as corporate treasurer. David was born with a green thumb, displayed in his beautiful and bountiful vegetable and floral gardens. Surviving is his partner and fiancé, Vicki Willis of Knoxville, his daughter, Ashley Zinck (Timothy Herrington) of Addison, his grandsons, Scot Morley and Trevor Zinck, his mother, Phyllis Potter of Westfield, his brother, Charles Potter (Sheila Talbot) of Addison, dear friends, David and Barbara Wendelowski and Sandra Persch, and co-workers in the businesses, Katrina Jefferds, Denise Hoyt, Ann Farkas, Nicole Vracarich and Kathie Christ. Besides his former partner Linda, David was predeceased by his father, Benjamin Potter. Friends may call on Friday, July 29 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the H.P. Smith & Son Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday at 11 am with Rev. Scott Towner officiating. Burial, with private committal services, will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA.
