DAVID’s Obituary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad “Papa”, David Everett Thomsen. David was 82 and passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2022 in Sarasota, FL. He was born in Neenah, Wisconsin, where he lived most of his life. David graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and married the love of his life, Karen (Boehm) Thomsen on December 30th 1963. David devoted much of his time to his family’s printing company, Neenah Printing, and raising his three sons. David was heavily involved in his community. He served many years as President of the Boys & Girls Brigade in Neenah. He was very focused and vested in the long-term growth and prosperity of his hometown. David was also a supporter of Wisconsin sports, especially rooting for the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. His hobbies included; traveling with his wife Karen, golfing, boating, working in his yard, and time with his friends. David is survived by his three sons and two daughters-in-law: Mark Thomsen, Ted & Amber Thomsen, and John & Therese Thomsen. Grandchildren: Lauren & Ella Thomsen, Jake, Megan, & Keelan Thomsen, Dylan Stone, and Thomas Thomsen. Sisters and brother-in-law: Steve & Nora Hughes, and Nancy Brown. David was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Karen Thomsen, and his son Peter Thomsen. A celebration of life will be held at: The Lake Club Clubhouse, 15804 Clearlake Ave, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202, on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at 3 PM. A service will held in Neenah, Wisconsin in May 2023. Specifics shall be announced at a later date. Read More
