Darryle Brian Doss, Sr., 55, affectionately known as “Dooba” passed away on August 25, 2022. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, he was the son of Ruthie Doss-Mack and the late David Bennett, Sr. He attended the Bridgeton and Washington D.C. Public School Systems, as he relocated to the Washington D.C. area for a short period of time. Darryle last resided in Riverside, NJ. At an early age, Darryle attended St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church and sang on the Junior Choir. Darryle loved the Lord and no matter where he was in life, he would share his love and his strong spiritual connection. Darryle worked at various jobs over the years, but his last place of employment was with the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, where he worked as a Cook for over six years. Darryle had a love for cooking and for watching cooking shows. Darryle was the life of any gathering and would always make you laugh with his funny stories and his hilarious way of explaining any situation. He loved to dance, sing and just have a good time. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his loving companion, Jeanine Sullivan and her family. Darryle enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching gospel programs and would always sing a song whenever he was given the opportunity. Darryle was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Fannie Mae Doss, his father David Bennett, Sr., three sisters, Doris Moore, Diane Bennett, Verna Stubbs and one brother, Jonathan Malone. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Ruthie Doss-Mack (Pastor John W. Mack) of Cedarville, NJ, his longtime companion, Jeanine Sullivan of Riverside, NJ, two sons, Darryle Brian Doss, Jr. of Millville, NJ, and Markus Lane of Vineland, NJ, four grandchildren, Jazmyn Monia Doss Torres, Darryle Alexander Doss Hagains and Katherine Ameris Doss Hagains of Millville, NJ, and Joshua Lane of Vineland, NJ, three brothers, Dwayne Doss of Bridgeton, NJ, Darrin Doss (Tamique) of Millville, NJ, David Bennett, Jr. of Glassboro, NJ, five sisters, Latonya Doss-Stubbs (Shannon) of Fairton, NJ, Darlene Cornell, Deborah Bennett and Darnell Graves of Danville, VA, , Ebony Malone of Millville, NJ and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Friday, September 9, 2022. Services will be held at Heavensway Beth-Shan Baptist Church, 1029 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360. Rev. John Wesley Mack, Sr., Pastor. The viewing will be from 9:00am – 11:00am with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00am. The interment will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 457 Greenwich Rd., Hopewell Township, NJ 08302. In order to protect the safety of all, attendees are asked to please wear a mask.
