Obituary On Friday, September 23, 2022 of Washington, DC. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Angeles. Loving mother of Aaron Angeles and Monica Angeles. Sister of Arturo Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez, Paula Hernandez, Hilaria Hernandez, Justo Hernandez and Isidra Hernandez. Coco is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 11701 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg, MD on Thursday, October 6 at 10:00AM. Interment St. Gabriel’s Cemetery. Socorro H. de Angeles, known as Coco to family and friends, was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on the 4th of May 1954 to Vicenta Concepcion Perez and Alfonso Liborio Hernandez. She was the 7th born in her family of 13 brothers and sisters. In 1961, she studied at the Academia Hidalgo Cultura de la Belleza in Mexico City, where her dreams to start her own beauty salon began. She also met her husband, Antonio Angeles in Mexico City. She had two children Aaron E. Angeles and Monica A. Angeles. She migrated to Washington, DC where she worked at Garfinkel’s and then with two partners, started their own business, JBC Hair Studio, which became Coco Hair Studio. She cherished her clients and friends who she enjoyed for many years. She passed away in her home surrounded by family. The family would like to thank all the caretakers, aids, hospice staff, doctors and nurses for their compassion and care in her final years. Read more
