Obituary Please share a memory of Christopher to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Christopher Charles Green, 42 of Mt. Gay, passed away December 6, 2022. Born June 17, 1980 in Logan, he was the son of Janice Kelly and the late Ernest E Green II. Chris was also preceded in death by his special grandparents and aunts and uncles. Chris was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord. He had a huge kind heart and loved everyone especially his mom. Chris lived a simple life. He loved spending time with family and friends, he also enjoyed cracking jokes and making those around him laugh. He never met a stranger and was always willing to give a helping hand. If you knew Chris then you knew that you had a forever friend. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and step father Janice (Danny) Kelly, he shared a special bond with his brother Ernest “Ernie” Green III, brother Tony Toth, Dylan Green and Steven Kelly and sister Karrie Spears. Chris had many other family members to numerous to list. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Gay Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Layton Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Family Cemetery at Mt. Gay. Friends may call on the family on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made directly to the funeral home to help cover funeral cost. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
