Obituary Funeral Service for Chilton Thomas Vest, 82 of Decatur will be Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Vest officiating with burial in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Vest was born August 22, 1940 in Morgan County, AL to Bennett Vest and Verna Kitchens Vest. He passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 at River City Rehab. Chilton was a Member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. He worked for Cullman Cabinet Shop for over 30 years and retired to work in his own Cabinet Shop. Chilton was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Guy Rutledge. He was a lifelong Member of the Nun-Oden masonic Lodge. He was a Master Wood Craftsman.
