Obituary Please share a memory of Cheri to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Cheri Marie Shields, age 68, went to be with her Savior, Jesus, on November 27, 2022. Cheri lived in the Northwoods of Wisconsin for more than 40 years with her loving family. She was born in 1954 in Paducah, KY and spent much of her childhood in Omaha, NE and Lombard, IL. She attended Judson College where she met her husband, Patrick, and were the first couple married at Herrick Chapel. They celebrated their 49th anniversary this past Thanksgiving. Cheri taught children her entire life, whether it was first and second graders at the public school, young kids in Sunday school, or her own children at home. Her love of music permeated her life as well. She often sang or played piano at church and contributed her skills to Christmas programs and VBS. She loved all things outdoors and spent many hours taking in God’s creation with her husband, Pat. Cheri enjoyed walking in the woods, camping, and planting flowers and vegetables around her home. Cheri loved people. She would regularly and selflessly care for so many in the church and the community. Cheri was a dedicated follower of Jesus and all she did was aimed at bringing glory to God. Cheri Marie Shields was preceded in death by her parents, George & Carole Wells. She is survived by her husband Patrick, her children Nathan (Michelle) Shields, Jonathan (Kristi) Shields, and Daniel (Laura) Shields and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by her three younger siblings, Suzi (Tim) Nelson, Lori Eyre, and Roger (Cheryl) Wells. Cheri’s memorial service will be held at St. Germain Evangelical Free Church Friday, December 2nd, at 3:00pm. Visitation will be from 1:30-3:00pm.
