Obituary BECKER, Charles Nachman, 88, of Richmond, Va., passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born in Newport News in 1934 to the late Benjamin and Rossye Becker, Charles was also preceded in death by his son, David Ross Becker; and sister, Rona Mirmelstein. Charles was a graduate of Duke University and loved his Blue Devils. He served in the United States Navy as an officer, was a President of the Beth Shalom Woods and served on many other local boards, president of the 5400 club at the JCC and Docent at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judy R. Becker; children, Chuck Becker (Petra) and Alison Becker Kessler (Jeff), David Rose (Kristen), Sara Rose Corcoran, Howard Rose (Melissa); grandchildren, Amanda, Aimee, Jake, Adam, Arielle, Alexis, Caleb, Cameron, Olivia, Brendan and Aydan; great grandchildren, Ellie, Duke and Maizie. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 2, 2023, at Richmond Beth El Cemetery at Forest Lawn, 4000 Pilots Lane, Richmond, Va. 23222.
