Charles Fiori October 5 1941 January 8 2022

October 5 1941 January 8 2022
Charles “Chuck” Fiori had the heart of a lion and his devotion to his friends knew no bounds. His Italian Catholic childhood influenced his lifelong passion for entertaining and feeding guests. His decades of New Year’s parties were full of joy, music, laughter, ridiculousness and love. He spent his days for fifty-plus years, working proudly for social security and he spent his evenings in rehearsals with the Windy City Chorus, William Ferris Chorale, Tower Chorale and the St Gregory Parish Choir. (to name a few) Through his love of music, he saw the world, traveling with choirs to sing in Ireland, Italy, France, and Spain and when one got in his car, he would turn on the classical station for one second before saying “name that tune.” Chuck served as a docent, happily treating patrons to tours of Chicago churches and architectural gems. He was so proud of his city and his home. He paid his bills by check and ate his meals in separate courses, he adored tradition. He loved his garden and was happiest doing jigsaw puzzles while watching Hallmark movies. He leaves behind a brother Ron, a companion kitty, Gus, and a whole lotta friends who will dearly miss him.
