Charles L Harper, 91, of Copperhill, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, GA. Charles was born June 10, 1931, in Copperhill, TN to Hadley and Rose Harper. Charles was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Harper; mother, Rose Harper; father, Hadley Harper; son, Lloyd Harper; son, Charles Harper; son, Randy Harper; son, Douglas Harper; and daughter, Sharon Terrell. He is also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. He is survived by his son Leonard Harper; daughters Angela Harper and Tina Allen, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, extended family, and friends. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed singing gospel and bluegrass music. Charles especially loved singing and playing music with his family. He never met a stranger and was known by many in the community, particularly during his days on the radio. Charles served in the US Army during the Koren War Conflict. He was crowned Mr. Bluegrass in Nashville, Tennessee. He played with many entertainers during his time in Nashville. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Finch Cochran Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pan Will Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, Georgia. The Family will receive friends at Finch Cochran Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
