Obituary Of Monroeville, age 68, died on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Beloved wife of Jan Paul Matthews for 42 years. Loving “Fur Mom” of Kitty, White Cat, Lucky, Gracie, Shadow, Buttercup, Parker, Charlie and Sam. Dear sister of Keith Collins of Verona, Kathleen (Charles) Hoffee of Wilkins Twp., and Michael (Hanne) Collins of Germany. Cathy was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth (surviving spouse, Susan) Collins, Kevin (surviving spouse, Pat) Collins and John Collins. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Pamela (Greg Mandryk) Matthews of OH and her brothers-in-law A. Frederick (late Kathleen) Goellner of Pgh. and Alfred O. (Carol) Goellner of TX., along with nieces and nephews. Cathy was a 1972 graduate of Penn Hills High school and earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Her favorite hobbies were doll collecting, various types of crafting and especially knitting. Cathy fondly reflected on her favorite vacation being hers and Jan’s 30th anniversary trip to Hawai’i. Her most prized duty was taking care of her cats. Friends are welcome on Tuesday from 6-8pm and Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Avenue at Cable Avenue, East Pittsburgh (412-824-8800) where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday. Time later. Cathy will be laid to rest in William Penn Cemetery in Churchill.
