Carrie Gay Altman, 44, of Lubbock, Texas passed away October 3, 2022. Carrie was born October 7, 1977 in Lubbock, TX to Shelby and Linda Gay. She graduated from Frenship High School in 1995; Wayland University in 2002 and received her master’s degree from Wayland University in 2019. Carrie was the Director for the Headstart program through South Plains Community Action. She married Clark, “Chip” Altman on July 8, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. Loved ones include her husband, Chip Altman; daughter, Shelby Altman; sister, Chrystal Simpson and brother, Dustin Gay. Preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Linda Gay. Carrie was extremely devoted to her work and career; she loved her co-workers, when not working she loved traveling especially to a beach area and shopping! She was a loving wife and mother and loved coming home to her dog, Rudy. She will be greatly missed! Memorials are suggested to The Message Church. A celebration of her life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 8, 2022 in The Message 5502 Auburn Street Lubbock, TX 79416 with Pastor Mitch Wilson officiating.
