Obituary Carol Cox Johnson, 81, of Acworth, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022. Funeral services will be held, 2:00pm Thursday afternoon in the New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Dewberry officiating. Burial will be 1:00pm Friday November 4th in the Georgia National Cemetery. Carol loved gardening and loved her family. She was a US Navy veteran and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, James Paul Johnson; son, David Wayne Johnson; siblings, Betty June Hufstetler, Clinton Howell Cox, Donald Lee Cox and James Ransie Cox. She is survived by her daughter, Laurel Pauline McNeeley; sisters, Gloria Cox Brooks, Sherry Joan Lankester and Tina Cox (Brad) Dewberry. 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church from 11:00-2:00.
